WELCOME!

This space will contain the magnificent work of our Pre kinder children as they journey themselves into this new, creative learning experience. The integrated project is aimed at developing all the skills that students need to interact assertively in this complex environment. Math Science, English and Dance are taught through the lens of each trimester´s theme: Body, Land and City

As you will see, the Pre Kinder Projects' main goal is to guide the students' learning process so they can learn concepts and develop many important skills through imaginative play and interaction.

Have Fun!

What If we went to the Farmer's Market?

This week we continued with the rooms of the house. We learned about the dining room and practiced vocabulary with the letter A. We also learned about the importance of a good and healthy nutrition full of  fruits and vegetables. In this amazing activity of What If each student brought fruits and vegetables to our unique farmer's market.  They first acted like buyers and then like sellers!! They practiced Math with pretend money that they made, reeinfocing simple addintion and subtraction operations! After this busy day at the Farmer´s Market the students enjoyed a healthy snack.

"Cuanto cuestan los pepinos?"
"Tengo 8 pesos, me das un apple?"

"Te doy 3 y  tu me das una ciruela!"

"Quién quiere una zanahoria?"

"Compré un carrot y un apple!"

"Quién quiere esta fruta! Se ve deliciosa!"

What If we became Chefs!

During this What If the students dressed up as Chefs and enjoyed many "kitchen" activities:

  • Observing a fruit art show
  • Discovering the school´s industrial kitchen
  • Playing with their kitchen utensils
Andres Felipe is chopping up many vegetables for his healthy, delicious soup!

Lets Cook!

This week the students learned new vocabulary related to food, cooking and their immediate environment: their homes. They learned the importance of a healthy nutrition and remembered not to eat a lot of candy this halloween! They learned the song "Rooms in a home" and experienced many fun activities, where they integrated what they learned with awareness of their bodies!
"Mmm....Dónde estará la A de apple para marcarla con purple"

Look at our tongues! They can taste all the flavours!
This is the group in charge of cooking the protein of the meal; they picked fish!
"oops, se me olvidaba lo que se usa para cook!"

"Algunas personas estan en silla de ruedas, como mi muñeca"

What If: Pijama Party!

During the week the students were very excited to welcome the month of Halloween! We asked them to brainstorm about what they thought this month is about. They mentioned scary stories, haunted houses, and, of course,  candy! That's why for this What If we enjoyed an activity that joined together many of the ideas that the kids proposed. We did a Pijama Party where each student got the chance to tell a scary story, they watched a small part of the movie Mouse Hunt, they ate nice treats and Marshmellos, they searched for the haunted clues inside the house (there was a hidden moon, stars, many mice and masks), and they played games letter integration games.

"Los marshmellos me saben dulce!"
"El dorito es un triangle!"
"Los doritos me saben a Umami!"
"El platano es dulce!"
"Las papas me sabieron acido"
"Los marshmellos me sabieron masmelo"
"Si regamos la comida vienen los mouse!"

"Encontré la de Sun!"
"Tengo la de Sock y la de Sun"
The Students are listening to a scary story!
